Local creative minds have organized a day-long conference that will feature innovative speakers, entertainment and more at the first TEDx Cincy event that will gather intellectuals from the fields of technology, entertainment and design. TEDx Cincy is scheduled to take place on October 7th in downtown Cincinnati at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.

To celebrate their first year of operation for Cincinnati's hackerspace, Hive13 is throwing a party at their Camp Washington space that will include music, refreshments, and games. The party will start at 7pm on Saturday, July 24.
The monthly Brighton Gallery Walk will engage fashionistas at The Brush Factory while other galleries provide art, music and more on Saturday, July 10 from 7pm to 11pm in the sub-neighborhood of the West End near Over-the-Rhine.

The first time I've seen this parade when the sun was shining and it wasn't raining. Smiles everywhere, is the Northside about the easiest place to be? Seems like it, come in costume and no one looks at you twice.

There are a plethora of activities this weekend happening along the banks of the Ohio River. The 19th Annual Newport Italianfest starts today and Ride Cincinnati will take place this Saturday morning at Yeatman’s Cove. But one of the more interesting and fun events of the weekend promises to be Roeblingfest.
The 19th Annual Newport Italianfest kicks off on Riverboat Row between the Taylor-Southgate Bridge and Purple People Bridge this coming Thursday afternoon at 5pm and runs all weekend long.
