According to Wikipedia, Daybreak in O’Bryonville, the new ArtWorks mural by Kate Holterhoff, borrows motifs from Maxwell Parrish’s iconic Daybreak. Its vivid palette is effective in its parking lot context.

From a distance, you may not notice this new mural at all and, up close, its muted palette seems faded by the sun. Located right on MainStrasse in Covington, this recently completed ArtWorks project was led by Christian Schmit.

This is a building in Oakley, on the corner of Brazee St. and Enyart Ave., right by the train tracks. It has been covered in what appears to be a Miami Vice-inspired version of razzle dazzle. Does anyone know anything about this?

In an effort to bring green public art to the Queen City, ArtWorks is planning Queen City Art Racks as an ongoing public art project. Of course, to promote this effort, the coolest poster ever was needed, so VisuaLingual designed it.
What happens when talented teenagers are teamed with design professionals and asked to interpret “green†concepts in billboard-like format? Plenty happens, as can be seen in ArtWorks' The Outdoor Museum in Eden Park now through May 31.
